Alta Badia wants to be the premier destination in the mountains, creating a living environment that they can enjoy themselves and share with their guests and future generations. With passion and personal conviction, their goal is to do things better than others.
This, in our case, meant working on the brand. Having a strong, well established brand with a long history, it nevertheless started to show signs of age. Also there were a multitude of local brands that had little or no connection with the main brand. So we were tasked with creating a consistent brand architecture and with updating the brand’s look for use in digital communications.
Starting Point
Alta Badia Brand coordinates all communications of the Alta Badia destination brand, as well as its diverse sub-brands like Maratona dles Dolomites, Gran Risa Ski World Cup & Movimënt. The purpose of the redesign and extension of the corporate design of the umbrella brand Alta Badia was to create a recognizable and defined ruleset for all these brands so they could be visually incorporated into the larger family of Alta Badia. This ruleset had to be very flexible to accomodate all the individual sub-brands requirements without weakening their specific brand identities. We built the new design system as well as the digital styleguide, which later on served as a basis for the update of the brand’s overall corporate design, along the lines of Alta Badia's “Moments”concept, which has the region's rich diversity of experiences at the core of its communications.
